چکیده

The series Sid Meier’s Civilization is one of the most enduring and successful historical video games to date. With six installments various spin-offs dating back 1991, it has influenced way many players perceive history. From its very first iteration, featured several Near Eastern civilizations from periods. Our research on game’s portrayal interpretation cultures East shown that, while there are authentic aspects how these depicted, overall approach game can be problematic. This article proposes a reading through Edward Said’s framework orientalism as means identify key issues in representation ancient Civilization.
